The Caltech Media Relations office reaches out to the news media and responds to media inquiries via press releases on science, events, and features; we host special events on campus and at off-campus Caltech facilities; provide an online Experts Guide; give campus visits and lab tours to the media; sponsor media briefings on a variety of topics, such as string theory, robotics, etc.; serve as the liaison between the media and seismologists after an earthquake; and we coordinate interviews and documentary requests. We also provide Caltech faculty and staff with assistance in writing opinion pieces and preparing for interviews.

Caltech Media Relations also produces "The Loh Down on Science," a radio progam that offers a fun way to get your daily dose of science in less than two minutes. The program explains the world of science to you with a dash of humor. Hosted by writer/performer and Caltech alumna Sandra Tsing Loh, it's a program for those who love science as well as those who avoid it.
The "Loh Down on Science" airs Monday through Friday on these radio stations:
KPCC 89.3 FM - Pasadena, CA, 9:19 a.m. and 8:04 p.m.
KNX 1070 AM - Los Angeles, CA, 7:56 p.m.
